Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian artist and singer. She has released over 20 albums. DiFranco classifies her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative, but it also contains influences such as punk, hip-hop, and jazz. Ani Difranco is believed as a feminist icon and a Grammy award-winning. In the beginning, as one of the first female artists in the 1990s, DiFranco founded her record label. DiFranco is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They were introduced at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother and father were both of Montreal descent. Ani Difrasco composed and recorded the song "32 Flavors". This song appeared on her 5th studio album Not a Pretty Girl which was released in the year 1995.
