Luciana Paoluzzi grew up living in Rome together with her mother and father. Luciana Paoluzzi's father is an Italian Army officer, and Maria Rota Paoluzzi's mother is the former lover of Benito Mussolini. There's no record of her siblings. Luciana was a student at the local high school and, after graduation in 1955, studied Naval Engineering at the Scientific Academy of Milan. It was her only female in her class. After two years of study, she began her modelling career. Shortly after that she got a chance to act in Three Coins in the Fountain while in Rome visiting a daughter of her father's friend.
