Ellie Goulding is a British artist and singer. The singer was born Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December 1986 in Hereford. Ellie Goulding, a British musician and singer who gained fame in 2010, when her smash songs Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed caught public attention. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Her unique soprano sibilance and knack of writing catchy yet emotionally earnest tracks, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap, stands at the forefront of modern mainstream music as well as arty, independent-minded pop.Goulding quickly moved from blogs to print media, garnering the attention of mainstream magazines like The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. Polydor Records offered her a deal as major label. The singer began to work on her preparations for her release.
