Adele

AdeleAdele Mara (April 28, 1923 until May 7, 2010 American) was an American singer and actress. She was a part of films in the 1940s and 1950s[2] in addition to on television in 1950s and 1960s. As a professional under the name Adele St. Mara, she was signed to Columbia Pictures[citation neededand was able to gain experience in the studio's "B" feature films as well as comedy shorts. It was then changed to Adele Mara. Mara began her career as a receptionist for the Three Stooges movie I Can Hardly Wait. Mara Brooks and Leslie Brooks were the sisters of Rita Hayworth in the Fred Astaire movie You Were Never Lovelier. Brooks plays Alias Boston Blackie (1942), as the sister to a wrongfully accused and escaped prisoner. She was transferred to Republic Pictures after her Columbia contract was ended. She was employed in westerns and outdoor adventures. [citation needed] She starred in The Vampire's Ghost, Wake of the Red Witch featuring John Wayne, Angel In Exile (leading woman), Sands of Iwo Jima where John Agar is the love interest, California Passage as well as Don Siegel's Count the Hours.
